KLUGE ESTATE 2001 NEW WORLD RED This Bordeaux-style blend is made from Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet Franc. It is smooth, round and soft, with notes characterized by toasted oak, currant and black cherry. The finish delivers a flourish of mocha and coffee. The wine�s seductive harmony makes it the ideal accompaniment for beef, duck, pheasant and other game birds that can stand up to the boldness of its character. These dishes work best with the wine when prepared with sweet sauces that incorporate dense, sweet flavors, such as raisin, as well as those with rich, earthy aromas like mushroom. KLUGE ESTATE SP The first sparkling white wine from Kluge Estate, made with Chardonnay grapes in the traditional m�thode Champenoise style, is a classical French blanc de blanc. Loaded with tiny, effervescent bubbles, SP is an energetic brut. CRU In addition to being a favorite cocktail and celebratory drink, our New World sparkling wine pairs very well with Asian-inspired food (the fresh sweetness of the fruit balances with the spiciness of the meal). It is also excellent with chocolate and sweet. Best when served very cold or on the rocks, this refreshing and strong chardonnay aperitif can be served before dinner or following the meal with dessert. It is an unexpected and well-received accompaniment. LIMITED EDITION NEW WORLD RED The first release from Kluge Estate is a limited edition of Bordeaux-style Kluge Estate 2000 New World Red. Only 289 bottles of this vintage will ever be available from this vineyard's premium terroir. Each bottle is nestled in an exquisite Lord David Linley-designed box made of American walnut with ebony lipping and lined with purple royal flocking, appropriate to the label. Each is signed by Patricia Kluge, owner of Kluge Estate Winery and Vineyard, and Gabriele Rausse, winemaker. They are numbered 1 to 289. 2003 ALBERMARLE SIMPLY RED Albemarle Simply Red is a Bordeaux-style blend made from Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet Franc. Tinted a brilliant, intense ruby red, the wine exhibits soft tannins, medium density with a complex mineral expression. There are nuances of blackberry, black currant with delicate licorice, vanilla smoky and spicy notes. A nice, balanced wine with finesse and persistance that is best when served at approximately 65 F, Simply Red is an ideal companion for appetizers like beef carpacio, baked brie, salads, pizza, French- American cuisine and with cheeses. It is a distinctive wine to have on hand for a family dinner or to share with friends as a pleasant American red. 2003 ALBERMARLE ROS� Our traditional French-style ros� is an exciting blend of C abernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. This wine bursts with romance, passion and the flavor of the land. The color is a clear and firm pinkish-raspberry tint. There are floral nuances of fresh berries, white peach, cherry and raspberry with delicate licorice, vanilla and roasted almond notes. We recommend pairing this refreshing, fruity and elegant wine with appetizers such as salmon carpacio, Greek salad, smoked and grilled fish, or any Asian and Mediterranean main courses.
