Veramar Vineyards shares their holiday
mulled wine recipe
Veramar Mulled Wine
1 bottle red wine (Veramar Rooster Red)
2 cups apple cider
1/2-cup sugar
4 sticks cinnamon
5 whole cloves
1 orange
Zest the orange, avoiding the white pith and put in Apple cider
with the sugar. Put cinnamon and cloves in a cheesecloth bag
and then into the Apple Cider. Bring this to a slow boil for
5 minutes. Remove from heat. Now add the wine. Add in the actual
orange sliced up. Warm this on low heat for 40 minutes (do NOT
boil). I keep the mulled wine going all day in a 32-cup electric
perk coffee pot or large crock-pot.
Serve in a cup with a cinnamon stick or candy cane!
